About this project

Ethiopia faces a significant crisis due to conflict, violence and climate related hazards such as droughts and floods causing significant internal displacement, erosion of assets and resources. Tigray region continues to host a significant number of internally displaced persons (IDPs) primarily displaced by conflict, with Northwestern (NW) Zone highly impacted. Through this Action, IOM is extending its intervention to two additional areas: Contested Zone 1 and scaled-up assistance in fragile areas where governance capacity and service delivery remain limited due to prolonged conflict and displacement. IOM aims strengthen and expand the provision of critical life-saving humanitarian assistance to these locations, while contributing to better coordination and effectiveness of humanitarian response through Displacement Tracking Matrix (DTM), Shelter, Land and Site Coordination Clusters, and the ABA in Shire, Endabaguna, Contested area zone 2 and zone 1.
