About this project

Following the devastating earthquakes that struck Venezuela on 24 June 2026, IOM is implementing a six-month emergency response to support populations affected by displacement, infrastructure damage, and the disruption of essential services. The intervention focuses on the most affected areas, including La Guaira, Caracas, Falcón, Miranda, and other impacted locations. The project aims to save lives and alleviate humanitarian needs through the delivery of integrated, life-saving assistance to earthquake-affected and vulnerable populations. IOM's response combines emergency shelter support, water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) services, primary healthcare and mental health and psychosocial support (MHPSS), protection assistance, site management and coordination, debris clearance, and data collection to support evidence-based humanitarian action.
