About this project
Sudan is facing one of the world's largest displacement crises. Millions of people have been forced to leave their homes because of ongoing fighting, insecurity, and the collapse of basic services. At the same time, some families have begun returning to their places of origin as frontlines shift. These movements are fast changing and difficult to track. At the same time, some families have begun returning to their places of origin as frontlines shift. These movements are fast changing and difficult to track. This project supports IOM's Displacement Tracking Matrix (DTM) to continue monitoring and sharing essential information on population movements, collect data at key border crossings, and issue rapid alerts when sudden displacement occurs. It will also produce regular reports to help humanitarian partners understand and deliver the right support to the right places. By keeping this data system running, the project ensures that humanitarian responders have accurate, timely information to guide their work, helping them plan better, focus resources effectively, and improve assistance for millions of people affected by today's largest humanitarian crisis.
