About this project
Azerbaijan faces an increasingly complex risk landscape due to both disasters related to natural hazards and geopolitical tensions in the region. Disasters, such as earthquakes, flooding, and droughts have resulted in displacement and exacerbated the vulnerability of local populations, including migrants and internally displaced persons. Furthermore, the ongoing geopolitical dynamics in the region necessitate proactive contingency planning for managing cross-border migration in a manner that addresses the diverse set of vulnerabilities faced by migrants in the region. As such, the proposed intervention aims to contribute to strengthening Azerbaijan's emergency preparedness frameworks, particularly for mobile populations.
