About this project
This intervention is initiated at the request of UNHCR and aims to facilitate the safe, orderly, and dignified departure for up to approximately 500 Afghan refugees from Pakistan accepted for resettlement to various countries. It will achieve this by supporting the issuance of exit permits and coordinating related pre-departure activities. In close collaboration with the Government of Pakistan, UNHCR, and resettlement country missions, IOM will assist Afghan refugees accepted for third-country resettlement by streamlining the exit process, providing logistical and administrative support, and ensuring compliance with host country requirements.
