About this project
The UAE’s NAP will serve as a broad ranging and strategic document that will present adaptation priorities and projects including both short and long-term measures, aligning with the UAE’s, sustainable development needs and national development planning measures and aspirations. The NAP will focus on the following areas: 1)Exploring the potential for creating a governance structure 2)Designing and developing enabling mechanisms that mainstream adaptation into public policy, budgeting and therefore policy implementation. 3)Assessing, designing, and financing a national climate data generation and management system 4)Developing specific funding mechanisms and incentive structures for the most vulnerable groups and the country’s private sector actors to adapt to climate change.
