The project will start with the conservation of selected natural environment for sustainable tourism development through. This will include some interventions including selection of four sites feasible for natural heritage conservation, arranging consultative workshop to research consensus with residents, afforestation of selected sites, promoting it, and zoning and protection of the conserved sites for its sustainability. In this regard, the local people, Italian Development Cooperation Agency, Tigray Culture and Tourism Bureau (hereinafter referred to as TCTB), other relevant bureaus and professionals will be consulted for its successful implementation. Restoration of selected heritage sites fill be another focus of this project. A participatory approach will be adopted to interven in 4 built heritage sites for restoration, restoration design and bill of quantity will be determined, restoration materials will be identified and purchased in collaboration conservation experts and the local people.
