Mali Revival: Women and Youth for the Agroecological Development of Local Communities

About this project

"Rinascita Mali" project aims to promote food and nutrition security of young people and women through agroecology, also improving the environment-nutrition-health-work nexus. To achieve this goal, Rinascita Mali will guarantee beneficiaries diversified and ecologically sustainable crops and agri-food production (R1 - Purpose code 31161 Food crop production), through support to communities and families to improve -food production and processing; promote the socio-economic inclusion of women and young people (R2 - Purpose code 31120 Agricultural development) through supporting the development of micro-enterprises, the creation of a market dedicated only to agro-ecological products, the empowerment of women and girls, environmental and agroecological education in schools; and prevent malnutrition through the adoption of proper feeding and nutrition practices directed at pregnant and lactating women and children under 5 years of age (R3 - Purpose code 12240 Basic Nutrition) through CAP and community diagnostic surveys on malnutrition, training and accompaniment of health personnel, community health actors and local producers, awareness-raising and community animation for the introduction of good food practices, and permanent campaigns and use of ICT.
