A future under construction: Innovation and Youth Employment in traditional construction in Niger

About this project

The project ‘A Future in Construction: Innovation and Youth Employment in the Construction Sector in Niger’ will be implemented by a consortium of 3 civil society organisations and one company with the objective of promoting youth employment, the establishment and/or growth of qualified companies in the sustainable construction sector in Niger. Through the coordination of CISP, the technical knowledge of ACTA-Niger, the mobilisation capacity of the NGOs HED-Tamat at the local level (Agadez Region) and FACTSahel+ at the international level (West Africa), this initiative will contribute to the achievement of the SDG 8 Promote sustained, inclusive and sustainable economic growth, full and productive employment and decent work for all, and in particular targets 8.3, 8.5 and 8.6, SDG 4 Ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all with targets 4.3 and 4.4, and SDG 5 Achieve gender equality and empower all women and girls, target 5.5.
