About this project
The Water Agreement (formerly called the Water Cooperation Framework Agreement or WaCFA) was developed to formalize regional cooperation regarding Water Management in the Awash Basin, between the three regional Water Bureaus of Afar, Oromia and Amhara regions. The Water Agreement is formalized and some meetings have taken place, but not a lot of impact was generated from this agreement. This project is an attempt at engaging and activating all actors and stakeholder by facilitating the dialogue that is needed in order to facilitate successful implementation of the agreement, which will ideally lead to cross-regional investments in water management of the Awash basin.
