Support to the Basket Fund to the Misión de Apoyo al Proceso de Paz of the Organization of American States (MAPP-OAS) with special focus on Nariño.

About this project

MAPP/OAS is committed to support and accompany the peace efforts of the Colombian State and its people. This activity has two goals. (1) Through funding the Basket Fund the MAPP the organization will be strengthened in its mission to support the different peace processes in Colombia. (2) The Netherlands has the role of observer in the peace process with the Comuneros del Sur (The Common People of the South) in Nariño. Part of the fund will be used specifically for this peace process. Logistically, for example, the Netherlands leans heavily on the MAPP-OEA, because this organization is one of the few organizations present in the department and can move to the remote areas where some of the negotiations take place.
