About this project

The Adenta Community Garden Project, implemented by Holland Greentech, is a community-led initiative that responds to key challenges of youth unemployment, food insecurity and urban degradation by promoting climate-smart agriculture. Since its start in October 2023, and with a renewal in October 2024, the project has trained more than 2,500 people – mainly youth, students and women – in practical skills such as sustainable horticulture, agripreneurship and urban farming. The intervention fits well with the Embassy’s POMBI approach, aligns with Ghana’s national priorities including the Grow24 agenda, and reflects the Dutch focus on horticulture as set out in the Multiannual Country Strategy (MACS)and the Annual Plan.
