About this project

This project aims to demonstrate scalable, decentralized, and climate-resilient fecal and wastewater treatment solutions in Khulna’s informal settlement, complementing ongoing fecal and wastewater management city-wide formal planning. The project promotes equitable access for marginalized and deprived populations. This initiative aims to provide scalable yet low-cost solutions for secondary cities of the country facing the same challenges. This project contributes directly to the strategic objectives of EKN DHA through strengthening water security and climate resilience, through inclusive, decentralized wastewater management. It also provides an opportunity for showcasing Dutch expertise in wastewater innovation, circular use and nature-based solutions.
