About this project
This program regards protection of unaccompanied migrants whereby UNICEF aims to strengthening the humanitarian response to the crisis affecting migrants and refugees, including children, in Tunesia. By 2025 migrant and refugee children, including those who are unaccompanied, have access to essential child protection and WASH services. Building upon the first phase of this program, the overall goal is to better protect the rights of children on the move in Tunisia and for them to be increasingly integrated into routine social services systems and delivery. Through this, UNICEF attempts to ensure a "child-sensitive national response to the migrant crisis", by the following three objectives: 1. Strengthen the child protection system for unaccompanied and vulnerable children on the move. 2. Improve access to education, health, nutrition, and WASH for children on the move. 3. Support evidence generation and advocacy for migrant-inclusive policies.
