Resilient Agriculture for Inclusive and Sustainable Ethiopian food systems (RAISE-FS)

About this project

The Wageningen Research Foundation (SWR) engages in initiatives for agricultural development and reform. RAISE-FS will focus on creating evidence for practices that contribute to food system transformation by addressing levers related to productivity, value chain performance and improved human nutrition for improved food security, while minimizing environmental impact and ensuring social inclusion. Based on the Food Systems approach, RAISE-FS works on key food system enablers to ensure improved access to affordable, safe and nutritious food. LOGIC is the Agrologistics component of the Resilient Agriculture for Inclusive and Sustainable Ethiopian Food Systems. It is an additional outcome to the current 5 outcomes of RAISE-FS: i) social and economic empowerment of women and youth, ii) improved enabling environment for system change, iii) efficient and sustainable production, iv) enhanced sector and value chain performance, and v) increased availability of safe and nutritious food.
