About this project

The Dairy and Horticulture Credit Funds have been merged into a single Smallholder Credit Fund (SCF). The SCF aims to improve smallholder farmers' access to affordable finance to increase agricultural production, strengthen incomes, and promote sustainable farming practices. PCP will implement the SCF by providing financing to SACCOs and other credit delivery channels, such as agri-fintechs, agricultural SMEs, and cooperatives, for onward lending to smallholder farmers. PCP will work closely with technical projects, including INSPIRE and INCLUDE. These projects will lead capacity building for farmer organizations accessing SCF financing and support the co-creation of appropriate credit products. In addition, PCP will provide investment readiness and post-investment support, including business strategy, financial management, and impact monitoring, through tailored technical assistance embedded within the SCF.
