About this project

AA1 This adjustment concerns a top-up and extension of the Ethiopia-Netherlands Seed Partnership 2021-2025. Supplementary funding of EUR 523.364 until 31-12-2028. Not part of our commitment is the complementary funding of the EU in the context of the Delegated Cooperation modality. EU will contribute to the program an amount of EUR 7.476.636 from 1/1/2024. Disbursement from the EU will be made to a special DC account managed by the Financial and Economiscs Affairs Department (FEZ) of the MFA. The current amendment (to be signed after in our after April 2024) will start with retrospective effect from 1.1.2024 to align with the EU and avoid double reporting and follows the NL calendar year Jan-Dec. The delay is due to a lengthy process with Wageningen University & Research (WUR) to come to terms on different subjects due to the new modality. Please note that the formal name of the program towards the EU is European Social Fund Plus (ESP+). Further delays occurred through the internal approval process of new commitments within the MFA, which was finally approved 21 June 2024, and personal changes.
