About this project
The project will (i) develop and implement a contextualised microcredit model for safely managed WASH services to adapt to extreme climate events in 4 climate hotspots; (ii) strengthen WASH supply chains and develop an entrepreneur-based operation <(>&<)> maintenance model including context specific appropriate technologies for climate hotspots and (iii) support local government institutions to roll out the WASH pro-poor strategy and to strengthen the local subsidy mechanisms for those who does not have access to WASH. All together the proposed activity will serve around 1 million community members and students in 45 sub-districts under 4 climate hotspots with an ambition to ensure quality and sustainability in WASH which will further contribute to achieve the targets under SDG 6.
