About this project

Benibiz 2 is a scaled-up project from Benibiz 1. Main goal is the increase of economic opportunities and food security for especially unemployed and underemployed women and youth en trepreneurs, also contributing to green growth and reducing risks of radicalization (especially in the North). The objectives are: 1) 10 725 Medium and Small Enterprise (MSME) entrepreneurs (50% women, majority under 35 years, including small holder farmers: min. 60% in ag ribusiness) increase their income and create jobs through a) strengthened competencies, b) increased access to finance, c) markets and d) information; 2) another 6900 reached through ecosystem strengthening of improved public and private services to reach a-d in an indirect way. Another 100,000 people will be reached through information campaigns on nutrition, formalisation, women’s leadership, public procurement, etc.
