About this project
The project aims to increase access to and utilization of basic social services (education and learning, social protection, child protection and WASH) by refugees, forcibly displaced persons, children on the move, and host communities, including women and girls with a focus on KP and Balochistan provinces. Through 4 interlinked programming components, UNICEF will provide support to refugees and HC and will contribute towards the operationalisation of the Global Refugee Compact (GCR). The partnership will thereby strengthen the HD nexus approach in support of the government’s efforts for better integration and inclusion and is closely aligned with the SDGs. Supporting host communities and strengthening social cohesion are critical parts of the programme to ensure sustainability and acceptability. While this programme focuses on refugees and their HC, Pakistan’s climate vulnerability means that internal displacement remains a key issue across the country.
