Support for Basic Education in Burkina Faso (Sahel Countries)

About this project

A project to support the basic education sector in Burkina Faso in the areas most affected and in need due to the Sahel and Lake Chad crisis. The project aims to provide free education and distribute school bags and uniforms to increase school enrollment rates for children of displaced families, refugees and host communities, through 6 schools in the Ouagadougou area. As part of the project's sustainability and integration, a number of displaced and host community families were supported and equipped with the tools and skills needed to practice income-generating activities, with a mechanism designed to support the education sector by empowering and linking beneficiary families to the production of school uniforms for the schools cooperating in this project.
